The Marina Barrage

Tuesday! Another day full of activity.

Met Billy at Marina Bay MRT escalator at 9.58, and reached to where Jia Qing was sitting at 10am. Exactly on time.

Yes, I decided that since people cant really decide on what time they want to meet, I'll just set the meet to the ideal time.

Turns out that it wasnt ideal at all!

Darren was late, Gabriel was later, and Ryan was very late. Joseph couldnt wake up (he eventually wokeup when we reached the Barrage). Chris had to "adjust" to the earlier time, so couldnt make it to. Darn them lar. But Chris's reason was the funniest, its like asif he was a battery and if he did not sleep enough, he would go flat halfway through.lol. (well those who read the sms would know)


Jia Qing, at Marina Bay mrt.. which was quite small, smaller than most underground mrts.. its very empty too.

While waiting for Gabriel, and Ryan, we started to play cards in the station. (we dint get kicked out though). Eventually, when they arrived, we made a move to walk to the Marina Barrage, but the weather did not permit.

The weather is really screwing up our trips this few weeks. It rains in the afternoon when we plan to meet in the afternoon, and when we want to avoid the afternoon rain, it rains in the morning too.

So we went back underground, and engaged in some hardcore carding.

The rain eventually stopped, and we decided to screw the shuttle bus and walk there ourselves. Walked for quite a distance in the drizzle, and i somehow lost the big plastic bag (that was used as cover for the camera). Its like such a big thing can slip my mind so easily.. sigh, im getting old.

and finally arrive at Marina Barrage!

Finally reached Marina Barrage, and the place is impressive. I'm sure ill be going there again, its really cool there. Well the pictures, would tell you only 70% of how beautiful the place was, cuz even my wide angle cant capture it. (plus the rain and the fact that i had to catch up to the guys made me rush my shots.. so not really nice shots here..)


and the first thing we did there? cold steam our asses!

Reached the top of the ramp and we got called in due to some lightning alert. Did not go to the gates itsself as it was drizzling.. so yeah, well.. maybe next time.

After that, we went downstairs and played in the wading pool. JQ tried the water in the pool and said it tasted like new water... ew.

Took some pictures, and rushed back to catch the shuttle bus. Eventually arrived at Bugis in search of food (buffet, as many ppl were hungry). Ate at some outdoor food court thingi and ryan went for a second portion.

Darren went off, then the rest of us went to Ajisen for our second portion.. HAhah, ate a lot that day, for some reason all of us were really hungry.

JQ and Billy left, so Ryan and I followed Gabriel to the ICA Building as he needed to take ic photos for TP application thing. The funny thing was, we went to the 2nd floor phototaking Q, and it was too long, so i suggested going to 3rd floor. The Q was shorter, but still quite long, so while Gabriel Qed, we went up to the 4th floor and saw that the Q was only 3 people long!. so we told gabriel and he went there, then we went to 5th floor and saw that the Q was non-existant! hahahaha. ah well..

After that, we went to my house and while gabriel slept, Ryan and I played some weird version of soccer in halo, which took up quite some time too..haha
