Japan Day 6

Day 6.

Since we had gotten some 2 day free pass for the bus service around the mt fuji area, we decided to give it another shot, hoping to see mt fuji this time.

We left my grandmother and aunt at the hotel so that they could explore the area around japan themselves (as in shopping), while we headed to the bus interchange to take a bus to this premium outlet just at the base of mt fuji.

IMG_0451
Yay, finally, i quit eating ramen and eat some fast food. Check it out lah, mac selling hot dogs.
IMG_0444
and milk.
IMG_0450
They have this type of trash cans like everywhere.
IMG_0443
a Q of taxis early in the morning.

The trip on the way there was kinda of boring, as they lined their highways with high barriers that impeded the view outside.

IMG_0455
stupid sound barrier thingi
IMG_0464
a rare break in the barrier revealing the beautiful japanese countryside.

IMG_0481
Im super proud of this shot. like uber proud, cuz the conditions made it difficult to take this picture.

We reached the premium outlet and started shopping for junk, since mt fuji was still obscured by clouds.

IMG_0487
You have probably heard of it, if you went to japan.
IMG_0491
A good example here of what the Aperture (or f-stop number) on a camera does. The top picture shows a shot taken with high aperture number, while the bottom picture shows a shot taken with a low aperture number. What the aperture does is control the Depth-of-Field. What that means is the area that is IN FOCUS. Thus, the larger the f-stop number, the larger the area in focus.

IMG_0494
my mom was crazy over the crazy crepes. like totally kept talking about buying it when we walk by it again later in the day. (check out the amount of people around too)
IMG_0501
Their changing room was large. Like, 1/4 of a bus large.
IMG_0503
Mt Fuji. Covered by clouds.

Nothing much happened there, other than finally getting to see mt fuji. Food was good. hmm, and there were a ton of dogs there too.

IMG_0523
awww. cute. The dogs were all very well trained there, none of them barked, ran around or anyhow shit and junk. You could hear more babies crying than dogs barking.
IMG_0542
Yes, that is mt fuji. like where the hell is the snow.

Another shot of mt Fuji from the roof top of the car park. It absolutely dominates the area. I think you can only feel the full extent of it if you had a 42 inch tv and the full size picture. and yeah, its definitely mt fuji. Not sure what happened to the snow though.

It was getting dark so we headed back on another bus this time.

IMG_0682
At some shopping center back in shinjukiu, Kinda of like Courts or Harvey Norman in singapore. Just a ton more awesome. Just check out the rack of eneloop battires.
IMG_0683
Dude just pick one. they all look awesome anyway.
IMG_0687
all the lens filters. Too bad they didnt have my usual brand. (things were more expensive too, im not sure why.)
IMG_0688
The thing i loved most there. You get to try out those cameras that cost up to $9k.
Totally fun lah, i got to try the Canon mark 1Ds, 5dmk2, and Nikon d3, d3x (which costs 9k) and many others. Damn i want the 5dmk2!

IMG_0705
i like how fast the people look like they are walking in this pic. not to mention the people..

Saw the night life in shinjukiu, then went back to the hotel to watch more sumo.hell yeah.

Semester 2.

The first week of school was kinda of hectic already. I think its mostly because of the diploma plus course im taking. It just takes out so much time.

Instead of a slacker semester that i was expecting, this sem has more hours of lessons than the previous sem.

No thanks to taking stuff that normal students would take in year 2 instead. Namely Engineering Math 2. Calculus 2 just keeps on getting harder too.

A welcome change is in our computing classes though, we have Computer Aided Design instead of C Programming. I like more "visual" things, like CAD, while C Prog was more of imagining what would appear then type out the correct lines.

My days all still starts at 8am. And nowadays, it ends later too.

GEMS sucks i think. Im not really interested in the subject (i took Personal Finance Management) and have to wake up at 8am on Monday for it. Oh well, might as well get the "Business" criteria of Gems out of the way in my first years then go on to more interesting gems later.

SYFC's gonna eat up my saturdays, wednesdays and fridays. Pretty much everyday im friggin busy. Just found out that my flight instructor is one of the strictest instructors around, so i really have to work much harder just to pass and get into the next phase. God help me.

The only way i can find relief from all the work load now is through the daily skype sessions. I just totally love you guys on skype.

well, thats pretty much it. How my first week went. Quite sad really.

Oh that, and i'd now be blogging less often. Like the only free days would be weds, fri or sun. Like total sianness.

how am i gonna do my many other hobbies with so little time :(

A look into the drivers cab on the train. Cool stuff.
IMG_0278
IMG_0279
looking out the front its kinda of scary when approaching another train near a track switch. as if it would switch at the wrong time and send your train into the path of another.
IMG_0282
The normal rail lines are not compatible with the shinkansen.
IMG_0285
