And school drags on..

Nothing unusual done on Sunday, other than buying 2 small E strings for my guitar and 3 more picks since i have a tendency to lose them. Bought a guitar stand too, as my mom keep complaining about my father accidentally making it fall. (before i had the guitar stand, i used blue tack at the bottom of the guitar and at the top to prevent it from sliding on the marble floor)

Spent the night doing calculus and more homework. Also made some time table in excel that listed all my "close" friends timetables so that we can set a date that everyone is free and we can meet up. Almost done with that, with the exception of Billy, which i still dont know his time table.

I realise calculus isnt that hard afterall. After spending an hour carefully reading through every paragraph of the chapter, i guess i kinda of get it, like around 70% sure.

Man, the lectures are somewhat useless, especially the electrical tech one. Its really different from Sec school as its up to you to plan when and what to study. The teacher wouldnt tell you what to do and stuff. Furthermore they only teach you the formula, rarely do they teach you how to apply the formula (which is the really important part).

As for Monday, which is today, there was nothing much actually.

At first i was really happy for this week as i thought that we had 2 days that we only needed to be in school for 2 hours.

I wish.

Totally misread the timetable and totally confused my classmates. Hahah.

Spent the night playing my new game (a relatively old game in the world) Brothers in Arms : Hells Highway. Shared the cost with my uncle as he had the xbox 360 too. Would have prefered the PC version though, but my uncles com totally sucked

Played another hour of rFactor with Graeme online too. I used the slowest car in the serise this time (we were playing F1 2007 season at Brazil interlagos circuit). Was really tough to beat him as my car totally sucked. Ahh, difficult to say here actually, but maybe in the future i'll do some screen shots and explain everything about this game and stuff.

The other thing is, i realise that i have very little time to do any quality photography. This is the third blog post without a picture already. Im not satisfied with the direction this blog is going to and hopefully ill clear the things that i need to do by next week to resume normal photographic service. Hopefully.

Ill not be doing any class recapping here as im too lazy to revise right now. Sigh. And i've still yet to update the links. crap. so much shit to do, too lazy to do it.

I pray to god to teach me to cherish every second that i have with my loved ones, and i pray, that i learn it not by the hard way.

My condolences to Perry.

I pray hard for you, Perry, that god will guide you through this period of grief, and that you emerge a better person from this sad tragedy.

My condolences to you and your family.

where are the hunks?

Dont get too excited first. just ignore the title first.

hahah, well yeah.

Anyway, today i learnt about thermofluids and the equations that go with it (which i will recap tmr..), and also about engineering materiels.

Like what type of stress is present, for example, tensile stress, which is like the stress induced when both ends of a materiel is pulled with an equal force. This is to test the strength of the materiel and how much force can be applied before it breaks. It is also important to measure the materiel to see how much it has changed its shape and stretched.

The other type of stress is compressive stress, which is like compression.

And the last type is shear force, which is like sideways stress (ok i do not really know how to explain)

We also learnt about what hardness means (the ability to resist being dented or scratched), toughness (the ability to resist impact).

In the thermofluids class, the thing we learnt are some formula, the definition of viscoscity, and the effect of tempreature on the viscoscity of a fluid (fluid includes gas and liquids).

Haha, enough of the boring school stuff though, after class ended, i rushed off to meet Chris and Wilson at foodcourt 5, which we went to SPGG to play pool. The pool tables were fully booked as usual, and we only got a slot at 1.30, which was 1 hr away, so we slowly walked to moberly (another place in sp that is like SPGG) to book a pool table for a later time when the rest of the usual ppl finished their classes.

After that, we made our way over to the admin block as i had to refill in this GIRO form thing. Totally saw weird things on the way.

The first weird thing was this student we saw while walking on the way there, who was bending down and scraping paint off the wall and putting it in a bottle. Totally weird lah.

Second thing we saw at the admin office. Its really funny. Imagine this counter that looks like the MRT control room like that, with the glass with the holes and person behind it. Yeah, so this guy went to talk to the person behind the glass, and then the shutter behind the glass started closing (shutter like those mama shop metal shutters). The guy started talking louder and more urgently, but the shutter still slowly came down and he had to bend his head sideways to talk to the person as the shutter completes closing. LOL totally funny lah, that poor guy getting taoed the whole time down there, and he didnt even get the attention of the person behind the counter. Totally funny.

Third thing we saw was while we walked by the boys toilet/changing room at the stadium and totally heard something like a gay orgie happening inside. haaahah

Played pool at SPGG (we just like to call it GG) and totally got owned by wilson, before we finished and went off to find Darren, who was sitting around foodcourt 6. My hp battery went flat then and i kept using wilsons phone for various reasons other than legitimate ones.

Met with darren and his friend and sat there trying to do my homework (which i totally failed at) while we waited 3 hrs for the rest to finish their lessons and stuff.

Funny thing happened while we were there. You know as we were very close to the business lecture halls, and chris was in one of them, during his lecture he came out to slack for a while, but got "locked out" of the hall when he tried to return.

I think he got locked out for about 30mins, the whole time walking back and forth between our table and the lecture halls door. Lol, the funny thing is, he spent about 10 mins trying to Push open the door. only after those 10 mins did he pull the door to open it. Hahaha. Totally stupid.

Gabriel arrived at around 4+ and me and wilson went to pick him. He was wearing a totally gay Bright orange shirt from TP which totally invited everyone from SP to beat him up. hahaha. Lent him my hoodie to cover up that TP stuff and we went back to the same bench to slack some more.

At 5 pm everyones lessons ended and we walked a long way to moberly, the whole time asking each other if we knew its the correct way and complaining that we need to walk damn far. hahah. Played more pool at mob before we left for Vivo to have dinner.

Walked around vivo like 3 times before settling on Carls Jr as the other restaurants had long qeues. Ate some stuff before Chris and Perry went to watch a movie and Gab went to gay at church, and Darren and dara went home and me and graeme went to best buy to play some xbox.

Tried this xbox 360 steering wheel on display there (yeah i already have it, but its somewhat spoilt). While we were playing this pri 5 kid came up to us and told us about ferraris and their cars and where they test their cars and whatnot. Totally blabbered on about facts that sounded suspiciously wrong. Weird.

Got a ride home in Graemes dads car and totally spent the night on the computer slacking.

Oh yeah, nearly forgot about the where are the hunks part.

Lol it happened when we were walking towards moberly at food court 5. Shit man.. anyway heres what happened.

According to Dara, food court 5 is the perfect place to check out hunks. So im like wondering what is considered hunks and whats not considered as hunks. Told her prevoiusly that she muz rmb to show me e diff. hahah, so that day, since we were walking thru fc 5, i decided to ask her.

So i walked up to who i thought was her(same height, same length hair, walking in same direction as our group) and i casually asked "so where are the hunks?". So she turned around to look, before walking faster towards the exit. That was when i realised that i had asked some random girl "where are the hunks" instead of dara.

Totally Screwed lah.

That was super embarrasing lah. The worse thing is that that random girl was from skate club, which was holding an exibition at this place that i had to pass by twice!. yup.

Didnt learn from my mistake and nearly opened my mouth to say something stupid again at Vivo city to some random person that was the same build as Dara.

Shit lah, WeiQi, why do you have to be so short. cant differentiate you from the other abundant short females. hahahah.

stuff i learn at school.

8am again.
Time for programming class.
Wasnt as bad as the first lesson though, as we got more hands on work.
I realise that its going to be quite difficult to keep up with the class if you miss just one lesson, as we usually learn really important things.

So we learnt about the "keywords" like char, int, double, which is quite confusing early on but after some practice you get to know it really well.

the "int" command tells the computer that there is a whole number.
the "double" command tells the computer that there is a number with a decimal.
char command tells the computer that there are alphabets.

There are many more, like the very commonly used "printf", which is telling the computer to show something that is typed after printf. for ex:

printf("blah blah\n");

This would tell the computer to display the words "blah blah". the "\n" behind blah blah tells the computer to start the next sentence on the next line. or something like the enter button when typing in microsoft word.

Theres a screenshot of one of the homework they gave us to do, where we are supposed to write a program that solves a math problem. Its not a calculator actually, as you do not imput any value into the program. its more like a really really simple calculator.

We had normal math this time round, which was really really easy compared to the calculus dip plus math that im doing now..

Oh yeah, theres a new tagboard up, as for some reason the old one has some problems. Changed the provider too, in hope that the stupid spammers disappear (but its very unlikely..) oh well...

2nd day of school.

Its the second day of school, and im already hating math.

Anyway, in the morning was this lesson that was essentially "hao gong ming" in the pri school days. SIGH. total waste of time. furthermore we get a stupid assignment about going to the library and suggesting on how to improve it.

We got to see some videos about what the final year DARE (thats our course short form) students are doing for their final year project. something about remotecontrol planes and stuff. The coolest one was the plane that could take off vertically like a helicopter by tilting its engine, then becoming a plane again by tilting it back to its norm position. IM SO PUMPED FOR THIS COURSE. CANT WAIT FOR MY FINAL YEAR ALREADY! ok.. right.

After that, was the C programming class. Although i have done programming before, this is the first time in 4 years i have actually programmed something. Furthermore, previously, i;ve been using a simpler language called Visual Basic, whereas this one im learning is called C. So a little difference.

The teacher talked slowly and at the introduction of the lesson i dozed off a few times, then when we started to do some practical did the interest kick back in.

The lessons objective was just to familiarize us with how to use the program and the really basic rules like for example, // before some words means that the program would ignore whatevers after the slashes. This is really good to use as sometimes you get lost in your own program, to prevent that from happening, usually after a few lines, its good to type out notes so that you understand what this codes above does.

And i've learnt that the hard way in the past.

So we learnt really basic stuff, starting the programs we created and debugging. Saving and creating new projects.

They gave us notes like this to show us the steps. We also had to copy down the code just for practice on how to debug and start the created programmes.
But since i had some free time, i read the codes to try and understand them and its really all coming back to me now. The int and the var and things like that. Its like riding your bike again after not riding for years. It just comes back.

Cool stuff, im kinda of happy that they included programming in my course. Though the teacher is a little boring.. sigh.

Break-ed for lunch, which was super crowded everywhere. Then went to the dip plus math class. A 3 hr long math class.

They taught us more about the modulus thing, which still is a little confusing to me, then moved on to a new subject of functions. That was pretty easy, but the class dragged on for 30mins more than the allocated time.

Ended school and went off to take the mrt home with my classmates. On the way, i got to know Wei Jun a little more. Apparently he cycles too. Cool stuff there, though he lived in pasir ris.haha. oh well.

Totally forgot to post pictures of yesterdays pool session too, as i had too many pictures to sort through, so ill just post them here..

20090420_7300
Played pool yesterday rmb? Hector down here after owning all of us at bowling the other day.

20090420_7302
Should have focused on the red ball. I like how the 3 balls close to the camera lines up.

20090420_7307
yeahh. still cant rmb whats that supposed to represent. Anyway, jeremy here, the irritating prankster. He looks more like a sherman though.

20090420_7309
yeahhh, lewis cow is in the same class as me. Totally gay right. like 5 years in the same class.

20090420_7313
Iylas looking cool, and Nathaniel in the foreground.

20090420_7315
lol some cool exel program that Hong Yi had that played music when you hit the keys.

20090420_7316

20090420_7317
Yup. Nat there getting it on behind the pool table. (shit now im making my new classmates look gay.hahahaha)

20090421_7318
Thermodynamics books and the calculus book, which totally burnt out the fifties in my wallet. and look how thick that stupid calculus book is.

20090421_7319
some of the pages from the thermodynamics book. totally mind boggling.

yawn.

Well, i cant really remember where i left off actually. So, ill refresh my memory by talking about the days that i took pictures with my camera.

20090415_7094
The junk outside my house, which one day i accidentally broke one of the pots while swinging my bicycle around trying to get it into my house..hahaha

Basketball on Friday, at the place near Wilsons house. Gabriel did not join us, as he was too busy gaying with his new friends at TP. Dong was not around, JQ and billy couldnt come or something.

20090417_7101
Skidding on Chris's scooter and totally spoiling his wheels.

Played bball with Graeme, Chris, Wilson, Perry and Jia Liang, and later, when we finally got tired, Ryan arrived and we did not really play much anymore.

20090417_7105
Wilson, the malnutritioned gay boy.

20090417_7110
Graeme took this shot. Lol quite nice, just needed to shift the angle a bit to be much better.

20090417_7132
Wilson being gay again.

20090417_7133
Chris's new DP

20090417_7134
Wilson is like totally looking weak that day.

Went back to Wilsons house, bathed, and went over to plaza sing to meet Beaver. But it was too late and he had to go back home, so we walked around looking for food and settled on Ajisen as there was no qeue.

20090417_7135
Ajisen table.

20090417_7141
Wilson and his much needed food.

Ate there, then we left for our respective homes. Kinda boring outing that day lah, with so many people missing.

Hahaha, saw Nicole at Plaza Sing too. Shes like totally spent and dazed lah. totally funny for some reason that im too lazy to elaborate here.

And lately Gabriel is really weird lah. Its like, everytime he goes on Skype, hes like 10x the normal Gabriel that we know. Which means hes 20x weirder and more gay than normal people. Totally talking about random stuff and implying that hes totally gay.

Guess thats the weirdness that needs to be unleashed from him as the whole day at TP, hes acting as a Guai and normal boy. haha.

Saturday was some post MMEC camp activity at East Coast, which i cycled to. Cycled around for 2 hrs before they finally arrived. Met Joseph doing some weird stuff with his TP friends.

20090418_7155
Took some pictures while waiting for them. Should have did a better shot of this but was too lazy to get off the chair i was sitting on.

20090418_7161
The bird came really close, so i took a picture too.

20090418_7162
Some of the people who came for the post camp activity.

It was a bit boring actually. Only a few members from my group turned up, which is kinda of sad. Most of them went to borrow skates, and some borrowed bikes. The group was really moving slowly as many people didnt know how to skate. So me, Khairul or something, and Dickson left the main group and cycled to the end of east coast. Alif and his friend tried to keep up on a tandem but totally failed. haha

20090418_7163
Alif and his friend riding the tandem.

20090418_7169
Khairul upfront. Going to the breakwater thing.

I brought them to this break water, and its only my second time there, my first being with daniel. Its kinda of a ulu trail, but the view back at the beach is really nice. Did not take much pictures as i did not bring my wide angle and couldnt be bothered doing panoramas.

20090418_7170
Dickson followed us there too.

20090418_7175
Should have brought my wide angle though..

20090418_7184
and only you.

Left that place and cycled back to east coast mac, then played soccer with Alif and his friend while waiting for the rest to come back.

20090418_7188
Yeah, we checked out hot dudes checking out other hot dudes at the recently reopened bedok jetty.

20090418_7191
NAW we were there when this guy with this bike cycled around blaring really loud music. Hahahahahahah totally funny. check out the amount of gizmos on his pimped up ride. im surprised the bike was not motorised.

20090418_7196
Another shot here, he kept going back and forth for the length of east coast.

20090418_7197
Taken at TanJung Rhu or something. nice skies.

20090418_7198
The bridge again, but its a bit underexposed.

20090418_7200
I really like the calm waters and its reflections.

Gathered near the beach and watched other people play soccer on the beach, before the others decided to grab dinner and i decided to go home.

Well nothing much actually, the people who didnt go actually miss out much.

they kinda of saved their time actually. sad lar.

Anyway. Sunday was busy. F1 Race in the afternoon, which totally saw Ferrari being owned again. Vettel was owning in the rain again (and im rooting for him too, but my heart is still with ferrari). Brawn GP totally got owned. Massa was driving well until his ferrari screwed up. I hate Mclaren. Hamilton was great at passing but was rubbish at keeping his lead.

Live streams rock. Only if they dont suddenly disappear.

After that, took a bus down to suntec to look for a hoodie. Got a plain blue one which was quite short (length from top to bottom), but costs only $7 at the suntec convention hall. Then ate at Kenny Rodgers with my sis and mom before rushing off to meet my sisters friends and help her do her project work. (which i helped in more ways than one :D ).

Anyway, she was supposed to be doing this assigment that required you to tell a story using only 8 frames. (which should include all the taught elements like selective focus on actions and depth of field and all the cool stuff)

Yeah, here are some of the pictures taken that day. (not all were taken by me, as i was in the pics too)

Lol. so did u get the story?
ok maybe its not that clear.

So the story goes like this.
1. Guy checks his watch, looking out for the "meet"
2. He sees 2 guys meeting downstairs
3. He notices that the files are passed.
4. Realising that he got the right target, he follows him..
5. follows him...
6. Grabs the guy and demands the file
7. The contents is not what he expected.
8. While he is busy catching the wrong guy, his real target slips away unnoticed.

Yeah, then later we did another story with my fathers help around my house area.

lol. ok some what similar story.

1.papers passed.
2.guy stalks the guy with papers.
3. stalking
4. stalking
5. takes out gun as he reaches a secluded place
6. confronts the guy.
7. fustrated (lol)
8. thats becuase the file only held useless papers.

Haha i remember the shot at no6. I was standing there waiting for the shot, and behind us a patrol of 3 police man walked passed. luckily i heard their radio chatter and quickly kept my bb gun. haaha. (they muz be wondering whats with all the suspicious activity too, with me in a hoodie and stuff)

Was totally shagged after doing all these stuff, but i kinda of find it really cool. Theres lots more things that i wanted to suggest she squeeze in but we already had tons of problems fitting the story into 8 frames already.

Maybe ill take photos of these ideas, but its a bit hard to get people to be the "model" for me. haha. well maybe during the holidays.

Today.

School officially starts for me. First day was fine. the 7.30am train was crowded, but i managed to find a wall to lean on. (walls are entirely essential for the long ride to school). Went up to the first class, and saw most of the class sitting outside the room waiting for the teacher to arrive.

He arrived and we went in, before being dismissed really quickly about 1 hr later. All we learnt was about what we were going to learn in the first sem and the marks weightage and stuff like that.

Had 1 hr of free time before we went to the next lesson at some workshop. Got split into groups and then got released after 30mins. That left us with about 3 hrs of free time before the engineering materials class with Mr Beh.

Played pool while the rest played bowling (yeah our school has these facilities, but of course, you have to pay) before having lunch at kofu.

The usual thing again at the next class, which was just the teacher introducing himself and stuff, then its math class. where we did some of the absolute value stuff, which made me yawn uncontrollably . Crap. 1hr of math and im already like this. Tmr we still have about 3 hrs of math in the afternoon, not to mention 2 hrs of "our nation, our world" in the freaking morning. sigh. i want my holidays back!
