My Retainers...

My Retainers, recently got my bottom braces removed and collected retainers to replace them..

What it felt like with my bottom braces removed?
well.. weird.. like numb

Yea i know its funny.. first thing when that is removed and you say you feel numb.. Yup

Numb. As in like when they inject the painkiller to pluck out yr teeth, then when u use yr lips to feel yr teeth.. that feeling. But not that numb lar..

I guess its because after all the sharp metal rubbing against my lips, it has become used to rough texture, so when there is nothing there, it feels numb..

Ok, so the dentist took a mold of my lower teeth and then the next week i collected my retainers..


The plastic has the shape of the back of the teeth, so it fits perfectly and snugly next to the teeth, while the front metal part also works with the plastic to keep the teeth in position..


i know the photo quality sucks.. but its just retainers.. not friggin flowers!

The metal part is to be infront of the teeth.. while the hard plastic part behind and under the tongue.
Does not exert any pressure, and just hooks on to the molars and stays there w/o moving..

The only thing i had to get used to was the part under the tongue.. it makes you feel like you had stuck yr finger in your mouth.. but after 1 day i have already gotten used to it...

I had to wear this everytime (except when eating) for the next 3 mths, then after that i think i only need to wear it at night for 1 more year..

Oh and why i had to post this.. i thought it might be interesting, i mean tell me would you rather someone post pics of his retainer on the blog or meet yr friend with retainers and have him take it out of his mouth and explain its parts to you...

Also, it adds to your general knowledge..

Oh Eventful Friday continued.. continues..

After dental and all that crap in the previous post, we went to have dinner..
Originally we planned to have dinner at Cafe Cartel in City Hall, but it was being taken over by Mcdonalds (grrr!)

So we went to the basement to look for food, and took a long time before deciding on the restaurant that surrounds the other fountain in the basement (the newer fountain).

Ate some and left for the indoor stadium.. The food was actually good, and service too (kinda of high class type)

Anyway took a train to Kallang to Q for the shuttle bus to the indoor stadium. (there was actually a Q about 100m long of church ppl, plus the busses were like coming at about 4 busses per min (those big coaches)

Got to the indoor stadium, got bag checked (not really effective as i was not allowed to bring cameras but the guy jus passed me off as he dint dig deep enough.. i had 2 games on top of the pile in my bag).

Took a few photos that i dont think is worth it to post.. realised that it kinda of got boring after Praise and Worship.. Dint understand the show they were trying to act out (something along the lines of little Nonya.. or whatever its spelled).. i dont follow tv shows so i couldnt be bothered.

Daniel came in with my guitar (arg) and that stupid guy inturrepted my show (not that i was really bothered by it anyway). Had to pass my mom a tag to reclaim my guitar while i walked home with Daniel to get my bicycle from his house..

U see the original plan was that (starting from the morning):
-Cycle with Camera and meet daniel at 10am at stadium
-Cycle with him to Lesiure Park to disturb Tiong Kiat
-Cycle back to his house to park my bike
-Take 158 to sch frm his house and arrive at sch bout 11am
-Disturb Auntie and disturb teachers until friends arrive
-Leave sch and go for dental
-After dental go Indoor Stadium watch random stuff
-After indoor stadium walk to daniels house to collect Bicycle and guitar

Turned out almost the whole plan was screwed by him (waking up late screwed the timing, and he extra go bring the guitar to indoor stadium while my bike was still at his house)

Anyway, cycled home and left my cameras at home, then cycle back to help my mom carry my guitar and we walked home from there..

Well thats the end of Friday.. And this is the first post where i described 1/3 of my day without pictures.. well how u like it?
Sucks right... But u should be used to it anyway as most other blogs are like that...
Lol needless to say, there will be very little of these posts in the future! (unless my life really gets boring) CNY next!

Oh Eventful Friday continued...

Ok so Friday continues..

Left the guys back at school, and went for dental. Met my mom there and got my retainers.. Went to 8th floor to photograph the garden. Took a few pictures of the middle garden (the one in the center of the building) - my mom had quite a lot of patientce while i potter about trying to find the right angle.. (photography is not just "oh a flower, lets take it".. more like "oh flower, dang the background sucks, lets find another angle")

In these shots you can see lots of things... If you had looked carefully at the pictures, you would notice that there is an airconditioning unit on the crane...


Below, on the ground, there is some tall square shaped striped things.. those are the "molds" for the concrete, whereby they would attach it to the top of the unfinished columns and then pour concrete in. After it dries, they remove the mold and the column is one step closer to completion..

The last garden we went too was beautiful... though the stupid access door that we went through did not have a handle on the other side, essentially trapping us there...

Oh eventful Friday

Ok.. so its Friday, Chinese new year eve for the schools.. Naturally, me and Daniel want to go back.
But Not for the school.. but because we wanted to disturb the bookshop auntie (as we always did, since back in sec 1).

So in the morning, i cycled off with my camera to meet Daniel at the National Stadium. Naturally, hes late, sipping his stupid tea at home, so i went to his house, pumped by bike and we both cycled off to find Tiong Kiat.

We heard from him that he was working at leisure park Subway, and thought the image of him working in Subway was really funny.. (he was supposed to work as a lifeguard for the hols, but somehow ended up with $4 an hour working at Subway.. of all places)

So we met him, took a few photos and laughed at him, then went back to Daniels hse.



(i dont think anyone would understand why this is funny except if u know him.. or maybe its just us...)


Yup, parked my bike, went to school in 158, got jealous as the circle line mrt station is right next to MSHS.. disturbed a few pri sch kids, went to disturb auntie (but she was too busy selling useless things to useless kids). Then went around the school to disturb the classes, found out that Wilson Yeo was being the MC for the performance later, so hatched a plan to embarrass him. Disturb out old teachers, met daniels friends,then saw SS and we were both like (EY STICK S*X).. Found cardboard and planned to act naked..

Daniel then "wore" the cardboard with his shirt still on and proceeded to walk around the hall (where everyone was assembling). Lol and everyone gave us looks, then met Mr Kwok (Our Student Development HOD)(I think) and he said "dint bring pants to school? Totally acceptable!" LOL... hes cool

Yup, then got bored and Daniels cardboard got ripped. So we went to get somemore and"wore cardboard" and walked arnd to aunties shop...





She was like (in Chinese) "wa u all crazy already ah, very brave hor" (or something in that line)
It was damn funny lar.. well yeah.. ill let the pictures do the talking again.. (thx Mark Koh for helping take the pictures..lol)

Well yeah, now that you all have seen it.. youll ask, why we did it?

Its Chinese New Year, and its our old school, cant you do something really fun at the "last day" instead of doing all the normal boring things that everybody does.. U only get a chance to streak in school like.. when u get out of school.. so its like.. every 2 to 4 years... so.. WHY NOT?


oh yea, and we actually wore pants inside (we're not crazy enough to wear nothing right! com'on!)

Sillica Gel

Thats the first thing i thought too when i open this can of blue.. ok fine. its not really a can.. but thats not the point!

Point is, it looked yummy, so i photographed it...

Why i bought it, i have noooo idea...




Naw, actually, its to keep the box that i put my camera and equipment, especially lenses, dry and free from the high humidity of Singapore. Otherwise, mold might grow inside the lenses...

Anyway, was also playing with the settings, and thought the close to grayscale version was nicer...




Ended the shoot when a gust of wind lifted the piece of paper and all the beads went all over the kitchen floor...

The missing tagboard

Well yes, im aware that my blog is missing an important thing called tagboard...

umm yeah, about that, the only way to implement it (easily and with very very little effort on my part) would be to put it in the navigation bar (the green bar near the top), and it opens a small window showing the tagboard.. well.. yeah.

The other way is to change the blogs skin, or layout/format whatever.. which would not likely be done.. ha

Yeah so anyway, happily wait for it then.. its not like there's people bursting to comment right....
